“Keyed alike” means you can use one key for multiple doors — where the locks are compatible. It’s a popular upgrade for homes, rentals and small businesses because it reduces key clutter and makes daily access easier.
We can often set your front door, back door, and garage access door to the same key, and sometimes side gates too (hardware-dependent). If you’re moving, it pairs perfectly with changing locks after moving.
Instead of carrying multiple keys for different doors, keyed alike means the locks are configured to operate on the same key. This is usually done by rekeying multiple compatible cylinders to match one key, or by installing compatible locks and setting them up together.
